We’ve been thinking long and hard the past few months about when and where our global conference should be held. After much thought, we are quite excited about our decision.

The past few years, we’ve explored different formats and names: eZ Summit, eZ Unconference, eZ Days etc. This year we are going back to our roots.

The event will be called eZ Conference and will be focusing on eZ’s content technology, with a healthy mix of business and technical tracks. We will also be celebrating eZ Ecosystem’s brightest minds with the return of the eZ Awards to conclude the week.

I remember my first eZ conference, it was more or less ten years ago. It was called eZ Camp and it was at the foot of the Gaustablikk mountain in the Telemark region of Norway. We have come quite far since then.

While we did decide to return to the traditional setup, we won’t be hosting the event in the Telemark region this time around. It will be quite a change in both location and scenery, as the conference will be crossing the Atlantic for the first time!

This year we will be holding the eZ Conference in Brooklyn, New York where the US team - including myself - are based.

We are thrilled to welcome the conference to Brooklyn. The event will be held at the beautiful and modern Wythe Hotel, one of the trendiest boutique hotels in New York. It’s located in the center of Brooklyn’s fashionable Williamsburg neighborhood. From the rooftop, you will experience one of the best views of the Manhattan skyline. A few steps from the conference venue are myriad of restaurants, bars, stores, breweries, and other cool spots that we are excited to share with you all.
