Product Manager, e-Commerce - Brooklyn, USA

This is a fantastic opportunity for a young product manager to join a software company at the forefront of Digital Customer Experience based in Brooklyn (Dumbo), New York.

Your Responsibilities:

This role will be an integral part of eZ’s growing product team. You will be responsible for leading and owning the roadmap of our e-Commerce solution. As product owner, you will be in charge of the feature definition, backlog and prioritization for eZ Commerce. You will  work with our Engineering team based in Europe following a scrum-based agile approach. The role will report directly to eZ Platform Group Product Manager, also based in our Brooklyn office in New York.

Essential Tasks:

  • Develop strategies to improve eZ Commerce product offering and feature set
  • Interact with the Interface Designer, Graphic Designer as well as the Development team to drive and follow up on the implementation of the features on the sites
  • Act as a product manager, balancing short term priorities with long term vision
  • Work hand-in-hand with product management and engineering on pre-release versions of our technology
  • Conduct user testing relying on the eZ customer database by synthesizing results and presenting findings and action plans
  • Conduct beta programs or preview programs with eZ’s customer base
  • Keep up with current trends and provide thought leadership around UX design, front-end development best practices and innovation, with a focus on processing improvements and results

Your Profile:

We are looking for someone who has:

  • 2-5 years’ experience in an e-Commerce product development operation, either as product manager, analyst or developer,
  • the ability to plan, execute, control and deliver in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment,
  • a good understanding or willing to learn the Scrum process and ready to jump in a product-owner seat.


  • Target oriented, structured work to stay focused even in difficult customer situations
  • Good time management, presentation and organization skills
  • Ability to quickly assess business situations and understand end user requirements
  • Strong team player with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel (France, Norway, Germany, Poland and UK)
  • Proven experience with the usual toolkit of UXers: omnigraffle or mockups, photoshop, keynote, video
  • Skills and knowledge in web design (CSS / HTML / Ajax) are a significant plus to facilitate communication with designers and developers
  • Clear understanding of a modern continuous development process
