eZ publish 3.3 CMS release

eZ publish 3.3 is now released. The focus on this release has been to enhance the packages, change the setup section in the admin interface for easier setup and change of packages, pdf export and RSS import/export together with other enhancements on the eZ publish system.

The new release has got some neat improvements :)
However, I have to agree with Lazaro Ferreira, the Information Collector isn't very good at all. It's time consuming making a long form and making it work with user permissions (made me confused).. I would really appreciate a more intuitive way of making forms!

But thanks a lot for releasing this just before christmas! Looking forward to future releases :)

Having finished our first professional ezp 3.2.3 site, and after using URL setup for the first time. We are very happy with the results:

Our most loved features :
Translation and multilanguage capabilities
Template Programming Language
Settings Arquitecture
Cache System

missing features from Ezp 2.x:
Something like EzForm
( Information collector was a little confusing )

Finally, a very good! note for ezpublish forum, we have fixed 90% of our problems via FORUM, in less than two weeks

So Keep the good work, and inspiration :-)

Thanks for your comment Jaroslav! I thought I did something wrong. Been busy till 3 last night, trying to find out what was wrong: My new classes just disappeared! So it's a bug. Too bad. I'll go and try download an earlier version.

New version of ezpublish is very good surprise, but bad news is that new version have bug with clases and ez developers make new version only in next year.

You people dare, release two new features, 3.2-4 and 3.3 and then close the office and go on holiday. Hope you take some rest and looking forward to work with you in 2004.

I agree! The release was really a surprise!

Even if the days before Christmas were pretty feed up (because of some security bugs which needed to be fixed), the eZ crew did a great job and gave us a good and secure release ;)

Enjoy the end of 2003 & tnx for the Christmas-present!
I'm gonna check it out later in the evening..
