Front-end editing, role-based authoring, powerful back end administration
With eZ Publish’s Front End editing toolbar, you publish articles, video, pictures, and files directly from your web browser within the current web site. Simply log in to publish, move, replace or translate any content, or carry out any Content Management operation for which you have access in the system.
Depending on your role, you could be a simple user needing only occasional access to publish a certain type of content to certain sections of the site, or a user with full permissions. eZ Publish Front End editing will adapt to your permissions and your role, fitting your profile, and ensuring a simple, clearly defined, secure, and engaging user experience!

The eZ Publish Online Image Editor gets rid of the need for painfully slow download and upload operations. Editors and authors can work with images directly, without dedicated image software installed on their computer. Save time and money!
The eZ Publish Multiple Uploader enables users to upload and process large batches of assets, video and documents with a click. Put an end to demoralizing, repetitive operations. The system automatically recognizes Content Type, and will use the right process to integrate the content by transforming or transcoding, generating thumbnails, or importing rich XML content.
The online editor offers powerful XML-based rich text editing
The eZ Publish Online Editor is a powerful, easy-to-use WYSIWYG rich text editor featured in both the Front End editing and Administration Interfaces. It works with all your content types, including rich text editorial elements.
The Online Editor is integrated into the website (no HTML coding required) and provides formatting functions similar to word processing applications. Users with even the most minimal application experience will quickly feel at home. All content is stored separately from its presentation, is fully XML-based, and integrates fully with the eZ Publish Media Library to make reusing content or uploading of new digital assets a snap. Recently the online editor has been improved for the use by disabled people, following recommendations from the WAI.
The admin interface, a powerful tool for power users, a vision in simplicity
Front End editing is the best choice for many occasions, as Content Management often requires a light and easy way to work with content. However, most sites still need the intervention of power users who go beyond simple content management, administering the system, defining content types, or creating users and tuning their roles and policies.
With power users in mind, eZ Publish comes with a newly re-vamped and re-thought Administration Interface, which is both a very powerful and productive tool. In each teamroom, users will easily collaborate using all the features of the Enterprise 2.0 collaboration: Information sharing, team blogging, wiki, tasks and calendars, team document repository and management. It's the perfect solution to build and document a team activity.

Editorial and automatic content desk: the modern way to push news to your audience
